CHEC was opened in 1995 to provide a professional working environment for young, physically disabled people who have left formal education and experienced problems accessing open employment because of their disability. CHEC’s aim is to help people develop a meaningful career who would otherwise have difficulty obtaining employment.
Today – Charitable status and independence
From 1995 CHEC ran as a department of Chailey Heritage School. In 2002, in response to the need to expand our provision, we became independent with our own charitable company.
CHEC (Chailey Heritage Enterprise Centre) is a small, charitable business run to give work opportunities to adults with physical disabilities. CHEC designs, prints and sells a wide range of high quality promotional and gift items to individuals and organisations. Our digital design processes mean that high levels of individualism and quality can be achieved.
